10/18 Friday fashion sho

We breakfasted in our room again.  Having a roommate who is local means that she brought lots of snacks and other goodies (nuts, crackers, pita chips, cookies, pecan buns, and wine!  Thank you, Janet.

After a full day of classes we had a drink and chili at the bar.

An adorable baby dressed for the event.

The fashion show covered the range of Regency and each costume had a slide which showed a painting of that kind of dress. The first was a slave in the background of a painting of a society woman with her children.

The head of the Southwest Chapter copied Lord Byron in his Greek period.

Each of the fashions had been made by the wearer.  Many of them had created the pattern.  Some were even sewn by hand.  The best part is that probably all of these women had many Regency dresses.

Then we played Jan Austen Bingo.  Then off to bed.
