10/4 more sightseeing

Right now Ohio is about 10 degrees warmer than L.A.  We are going out and about every day so that Janet can show me the walks that she and Jim discovered during COVID.

We drove along the lake and stopped at a marina to walk out on the jetty.

Then we went to Schoepfle Gardens.  This is pronounced Sheffley. On the way, we tried to stop at several farm stands, but that seemed to be EVERYONES idea so they were too crowded and had no parking.  We didn’t need anything so it was not really a problem.

At the garden Janet suggested that we take the free tram ride.  Since Stacy and I didn’t immediately jump on that idea, she suggested it a little more vehemently.  We took the tram and agreed that it was a great idea because the temperature was now near 90.  With the tram we saw all of the outskirts of the grounds and then we did a short walk into the middle to visit Janet’s favorite tree.  We sat in the shade by a small pond and then returned happily to the air conditioning of the car.

Back home we looked at the website of a house for sale right on the lake that Janet has always liked.  We decided that the outside was better than the inside.  Branwen would have been at her snarky best if she had seen it.  These people had the worst taste in the world.  Look up 2919 E. Erie Ave, Lorraine OH.  It was cheap- $1,210,000 for 7511 sqft on the lake. $161/sqft.

For dinner Janet grilled steaks, Stacy made hash browns and broccoli and I poured the wine.  No pictures, my phone was charging.  Cookies and tea for dessert.

A little TV and then off to blog and read.
